What is a threaded labret earring, and how is it different from a normal stud?
A labret is a flatback earring. Instead of a butterfly back, a flat disc sits behind the ear and the decorative front screws onto the post. Nothing digs in when you sleep or press your head against a pillow, and there is no butterfly back to fall off. This one is genuine 14K solid gold with a 2.5mm Cubic Zirconia front.
Which piercings can I wear the 2.5mm Solitaire Threaded Labret in?
It suits both lobe and cartilage piercings, including helix, tragus, conch and flatback placements. It is 18G, or 1.0mm, which is the standard gauge for most of these piercings, with a 6.5mm post length. Check the gauge and post length of your current jewelry before ordering, since a mismatch will not seat properly.
Should I choose the 2.5mm Solitaire or the 2mm Baby Solitaire?
The only difference is stone size. At 2.5mm the Cubic Zirconia reads as a proper solitaire and can anchor a curated ear as the focal piece. The 2mm Baby Solitaire is more discreet and sits quietly beside other jewelry. Both share the same 14K solid gold build, 18G gauge and 6.5mm post, so they mix well across placements.
Is 14K solid gold worth it over gold plated for a piercing?

How do I put in and care for an internally threaded flatback?
Internal threading means the screw thread sits inside the post, so the surface passing through your piercing is completely smooth.
• To wear: push the flat back through from behind, hold the disc steady, screw the front on clockwise until snug, and do not over tighten.
• To clean: lukewarm water with mild soap, then dry fully.
• Store: in a soft pouch, separate from other pieces.
